Tell us what you think

We would like to hear what you think - listening to our patients, residents, families, friends and carers helps us improve the services we provide.

We also would like to hear from anybody who has interacted with Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services, such as availing of education or conferences, members of the public, fundraisers or supporters. We are here to listen, so that we can learn from your experience. It is beneficial that we receive feedback when things have gone well, or not so well, so that we can build upon good practice and continue to make improvements to our services, care delivery and our environment.

Compliment, comment or suggestion

If you wish to provide feedback on the care that you or somebody you know has received, or your experience in general, please do take the time to let us know. It is important to know what we are getting right so that we can share with relevant Departments and learn from it.

We would also welcome your comments and suggestions to support us in making improvements.

There are a number of ways to give us feedback:

  • Please talk to a member of staff. Tell the people who are caring for your or your loved one about your experience.
  • Please complete the Tell Us What You Think form online – your feedback will be directly submitted to us.
  • Please download and complete the Tell Us What You Think form and leave it with our Reception team addressed to the Quality Feedback Team.
  • Please download and complete the ‘Tell Us What You Think’ form and put it in one of the ‘Tell Us What You Think’ boxes that are located throughout the organisation.

If you have a complaint

We understand that making a complaint can be difficult. If you are not happy with your experience, we would appreciate receiving your complaint as soon as possible in order to investigate the matter.

There are a number of ways to give us feedback:

  • Please talk to a member of staff. Tell the people who are caring for your or your loved one about your experience.

What happens next?

If you complain in person or over the phone, we will endeavour to resolve your concern as soon as possible. If you complain by email or in writing, we will acknowledge your complaint within seven days and do everything we possibly can to resolve it within 30 days. If this is not possible, we will update you on when feedback can be expected.

What if the complaint is not resolved?

If you feel that your complaint has not been dealt with satisfactorily, or the outcome is not to your satisfaction, there is a further process which is included in the Complaints Policy for your information.
