Meet our 2023 Mission Heroes
During 2023, our staff and volunteers have helped support thousands of local people across Wicklow, Blackrock and Harold’s Cross as well as in the community. But our Mission Heroes are individuals and teams that demonstrate exceptional examples of living our mission and values. They go way beyond the mission to help colleagues, patients, residents and/or families.
Each year we are humbled by the nominations we receive and 2023 was another outstanding year as we received 25 nominations. Many congratulations to everyone who was nominated. Our panel of judges had a difficult job of deciding the winners, however our five outstanding mission heroes are:
- Dublin South West Palliative Care Team
- Blood Bikes East Team
- Gioia Valle, Security Services, Wicklow Hospice
- Members of Harold’s Cross Community Palliative Care Team
- Dr Mary McCarthy
