Dublin Certificate in Evidence Based Joint Injection Spring 2026

This course is open to Registered General Nurses who have successfully
completed an Advanced Health Assessment module.

 

Through blended learning this module aims to:

  • Provide evidence-based recommendations around the principles, practice, and techniques for joint and soft tissue injection therapies for people with rheumatic musculoskeletal disease (RMD)
  • Prepare participants to expand their skills base with respect to the use of injection therapies for people with RMD
  • Advise participants to work within their respective scope of practice when administering prescribed injection therapies
  • Emphasise a person centred approach to healthcare delivery.

This module is intended as an educational resource and does not constitute an assessment of clinical competence.

This nine-week blended learning module comprises:

  • Three in-person days
  • Five two-hour, online, self-directed learning units
  • One reading week.

This course adopts a blended learning approach. Students will be required to be present onsite for three days during the course:

Day 1:     Monday 16 February 2026     9 a.m. – 2.30 p.m.

Day 2:     Monday 9 March 2026           9 a.m. – 2.30 p.m.

Day 3:     Monday 13 April 2026            9 a.m. – 2.30 p.m. (final assessment)
