Patients’ Information
- Personal clothing (note, we do not provide a laundry service in Hospice).
- Footwear. We advise comfortable flat shoes with non-slip soles. Enclosed shoes (i.e. not slippers) are preferable.
- Toiletries.
- Any walking aids/frames that you use at home.
- An up-to-date list of your medication. (We will provide you with your medications for the duration of your stay, so you do not need to bring in your own medication. However, if you do not have a list, or are unsure of doses etc., it may be easier to bring all your medication in, and we can go through it with you here).
- Any personal items, such as photographs or a favourite pillow or blanket, which may make you feel more at home (though we cannot accept liability for any loss or damage to items of value).
- If you have a smart-phone, tablet or laptop you may like to bring it so you can have ‘virtual visits’ with your family, using video calling.
If arriving from a hospital, your team there will organise your transport, which may be dependent on ambulance transfers.

Each patient room has been designed with an overnight bed which the staff can help to set up so you can spend time with your loved one.
Patients may smoke in a dedicated external smoking area. Note, this is strictly for patient use only.
Limited parking spaces are provided for visitors. There is no charge for the use of these facilities.
We provide and launder all bed linen and towels. Arrangements should be made to launder patients’ personal clothing at home.
Letters and parcels are delivered on a daily basis.
Patients can post letters and parcels that are stamped by asking staff for assistance.
When Covid restrictions finish we hope to provide a restaurant space for family and friends to relax with their loved ones.
