Join us on 18th October 2026 for the Glen to Glen Remembrance Hike, a memorable day of walking through the stunning Wicklow Mountains while raising vital funds for Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services.

Take in the breathtaking beauty of the Glendalough and Glendassan Valleys as you walk alongside fellow supporters, friends, families, and experienced hike leaders. This special event is an opportunity to honour the memory of a loved one, reflect, and celebrate their life in the peaceful surroundings of one of Ireland’s most spectacular landscapes.

Whether you’re looking for a challenge or a more relaxed day out, there’s a route to suit you:

  • 12km Challenge Route – A moderate hike ideal for those with a good level of fitness, offering rewarding views and a fulfilling outdoor adventure.
  • 8km Leisure Route – A gentler walk designed for participants who prefer a more leisurely pace while still enjoying the beauty of the valleys.

Both routes take approximately 3–4 hours to complete and are fully supported by experienced walk leaders. Participants will receive route maps, guidance along the way, and plenty of opportunities to pause, reflect, and take in the incredible scenery.

More than just a hike, the Glen to Glen Remembrance Hike is a chance to come together as a community in support of compassionate hospice care. Every step you take helps provide essential services for patients and their families while creating a meaningful tribute to those who will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Walk in memory. Walk in celebration. Walk to make a difference

We look forward to welcoming you on this inspiring and unforgettable day.

For both options:

  • Registration is €25 per person.   Children aged 17 and under can join free of charge. Children are very welcome once accompanied by a supervising parent or guardian.
  • Meeting point is in Laragh and registration is from 9am.  The hike will set off at 9.30am.
  • Feel free to bring along a photo of your loved one to place on our Remembrance Board, at the start of the hike.  We will also have a short reflection to remember our loved ones before we set off.
  • Both groups will be accompanied by experienced walk leaders, and maps will be provided.
  • Participants are required to register in advance and will receive a free Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services t-shirt on the day!
  • Complimentary refreshments will be served in the carpark upon completion
  • Unfortunately, we cannot allow dogs on this hike.

We are asking participants to aim to raise €200 each which will go towards enhancing local hospice services, and funding things like complimentary therapies, bereavement support services, specialist equipment and development of our hospice gardens.

When you sign up, your fundraising page will be automatically set up for you.  Remember, family, friends and work colleagues can sponsor you online and offline.  Just share your fundraising page link via your social media, messaging app or email.   From here, people will be able to sponsor you from the comfort of their own homes – it couldn’t be easier!  If you would prefer a sponsorship card, please contact us and we will send on out to you.

This event is licensed by Wicklow Mountains National Park and due to limited numbers permitted on the hike, registration will close once we reach capacity.  Walkers may not be allowed to register on the day if the event is full.
