The aim of the Dublin Certificate in Evidence Based Spirituality for Healthcare is to provide an opportunity for participants to develop theoretical knowledge in spirituality and spiritual care in the context of healthcare. It also provides participants with an opportunity to explore their own spirituality. The course will also explore issues related to assessing spiritual needs, exploring existential issues, responding to spiritual distress and the provision of spiritual care at end-of-life.
The course will adopt a blended learning approach, with online lectures and facilitated in person workshops, over a period of 11 weeks beginning on Tuesday, 20 January 2026. The course is facilitated by chaplaincy and education staff from Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services.

- 17th February 2026
- 24th March 2026 (Assessment Day)
