Mission Committee
The Mission Committee ensures that our mission and values guide every aspect of our organisation. It is supported by sub-committees as detailed below.
Employee Wellbeing
Our Employee Wellbeing Group aims to create a positive and supportive working environment for all employees and volunteers. Using national guidelines, the results of our Staff Satisfaction Survey and our own understanding of the health issues experienced by staff, we work to identify appropriate initiatives to assist staff in maintaining their health and work/life balance.
Staff Council
Our Staff Council serves as a ‘voice for staff’. We are chaired by staff, with staff participants from all areas of our organisation. We understand the importance of building a strong sense of community across all disciplines on our three sites and strive to represent staff views on suggestions for improvements and change.
We act as a conduit to engage and support our fellow staff members, empowering excellence through thoughtful learning opportunities, staff recognition, special events, and engaging partnerships that promote and enhance our experience at Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services.
Diversity Group
Our Diversity Group is committed to promoting and integrating diversity into our culture by focusing on the concept of diversity encompassing acceptance and respect which means understanding that each individual is unique, and recognising our individual differences. These can be along the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other ideologies.
Patients and Residents Forum
We meet regularly to discuss patients’ and residents’ concerns and make suggestions for improvements across our service.
