A competency-based process is used for our selection process. Please click on the link below to view the Competency Based Framework. This framework details the essential skills, abilities, knowledge and behaviours both current and potential employees of Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services must possess for the purposes of effective performance. This framework will act as a guide to both current and potential employees indicating the essential areas and levels of performance.
The purpose of this framework is to ensure the organisation applies a fair and transparent recruitment and selection process, in line with Equality Legislation, to the appointment of staff to all positions within the organisation and to ensure we recruit the right people with the right skills, attributes and behaviours in order to promote and maintain a high standard workforce.
As an equal opportunities employer, Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services is committed to providing equality of opportunity in all recruitment practices. It is Hospice policy that all current and prospective employees have equality of opportunity regardless of gender, civil status, family status, religious beliefs, race, sexual orientation, age, disability and membership of a traveller community.
Candidates for vacancies are selected on the basis of merit in relation to relevant qualifications, experience, abilities, aptitude and attitude.
