Wicklow Hospice welcomed its first in-patients on December 8th 2020 and is the first facility to provide specialist palliative care services for patients and their families in Wicklow.\u00a0This state-of-the-art purpose-built hospice provides 15 in-patient public beds and a new base for the Wicklow Specialist Community Palliative Care team. It\u2019s opening marks the culmination of over ten years of incredible fundraising by the Wicklow Hospice Foundation and the local community.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now operated by Our Lady\u2019s Hospice & Care Services, Ireland\u2019s largest provider of specialist palliative care services, Wicklow Hospice joins Harold\u2019s Cross Hospice (established 1879) and Blackrock Hospice (established 2003) as the third Hospice in the Our Lady\u2019s Hospice & Care Services family. As a charity, Our Lady\u2019s Hospice & Care Services fundraises to continue to develop its sites and to enhance patient and family services.<\/p>\n

Our Lady\u2019s Hospice & Care Services offers world-class, specialist and person centered palliative care to those with advanced life-threatening illness who are approaching the end-of-life.\u00a0 Our focus is to improve quality of life and we aim to help patients to live with comfort, dignity and peace of mind, taking a holistic approach to meet the specialised needs of our patients and their families. Our patients are at the center of everything we do.<\/p>\n
