It seems the world has been turned upside down with the impact of Coronavirus/Covid-19 and we are all trying to cope and do our very best to adjust in such challenging times.
Here at the Hospice our front line teams are working round the clock to navigate the challenges each day brings and to make sure we protect and care for our patients at home and in our hospices. Our patients are in the high risk category of Covid-19 as their immune systems are much more compromised. Some are very frail, which leaves them even more vulnerable.
So, its vitally important that we are there for them, making sure they continue to receive our expert care and reassurance at this very critical time.
Covid-19 has severely restricted our ability to raise funds. Major fundraising events like Mini Marathon have been cancelled and many of the community events that support our services are unable to go ahead because of the restrictions.
This is a massive blow for us as we depend on these resources – to enable us to provide the very best level of specialist palliative care for patients who need us right now and in months to come.
We need the support of compassionate people like you to help us get through this critical time. No one knows how long the pandemic and restrictions will continue. But we do know that demand will continue to rise every day for our care and we need to be there for those that need us most.
Please support us today whatever amount you feel comfortable with – and help us to be there for all patients at this very vulnerable time in their lives.
Together we can get through this.
