The topics have been chosen because of their impact on the patients\u2019 quality of life, and the lecturers chosen because of their knowledge of the subject matter. The lectures will be supplemented with relevant reading materials, including slide presentations, and a detailed reference \/ reading list.<\/p>\n<p>The course has been developed to address the educational needs of Clinical Nurse Specialists in Palliative Care, Specialty Trainees in Palliative Medicine, and Consultants in Palliative Medicine. The course organizers are Prof Andrew Davies (Professor of Palliative Medicine, Dublin), and Dr Andrew Dickman (Consultant Pharmacist, Liverpool).<\/p>\n<p>The Dublin Advanced Course is based on the Guildford Advanced Course (United Kingdom), although the content may vary in terms of lectures \/ lecturers.
