Rheumatology & Gerontology Conference 2020

Healthy Ageing for Bones, Bodies and Minds

Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services present our inaugural Rheumatology & Gerontology Conference on Wednesday 12 February 2020.

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Healthy Ageing for Bones, Bodies and Minds’. This will provide an ideal opportunity for critical debate regarding challenges relating to advancing practice in rheumatology and gerontology. This will provide an important forum for educators, clinical practitioners and researchers to examine the developments in rheumatology, gerontology and research from leading experts in the speciality.

We are honoured to announce the following speakers amongst those who will present on the day:

Professor Rose Anne Kenny, Professor of Medical Gerontology and Head of the academic Discipline of Medical Gerontology at Trinity College, Dublin and Director of the Falls and Syncope Clinic and of the new Mercer’s Institute for Successful Ageing, at St. James’ Hospital, Dublin.

Professor Kevin Malone, Consultant Psychiatrist in St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin and Professor of Psychiatry & Mental Health at University College Dublin.

Professor Norelee Kennedy, Vice-President for Research at University of Limerick and Associate Professor of Physiotherapy and Head of School of Allied Science.
