Address: 9 Barton Road West ( Off grange Road ) Rathfarnham D16
Garden owner: Alan Perry ( firstname.lastname@example.org)
South facing medium sized garden to rear of house.
The garden contains a collection of Japanese maples, bamboos, herbaceous perennials and a fish pond, with a water cascade and alpine rockery. Container gardening is also a significant component in this garden.
The owner is passionate about plants and horticulture and garden design.
The rear garden, as with many urban walled gardens, suffers from poor drainage and has been a challenge to find plants which thrive in these difficult situations. However research and trial and error has resulted in this garden now containing many plants that thrive in damp locations.
The front garden is proof that you can have off street parking facilities in a small city garden and still have intense planting. This front garden is packed with trees and woodland planting due to it’s north facing aspect.
Please note the other gardens open on this date and make them part of your trail Oakdown, Churchtown and Glenfield in Bray.

Dogs are not permitted.
Directions: Travelling from up the Grange Road take the first left after the Esso Garage onto Barton Road West.
