3 x Digging Day 1

We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with a range of different companies every year, collaborating for the benefit of not just our patients and their families, but also the companies themselves and the staff members who get involved.

There are so many ways your company can help. If you are interested in finding a way that you can support our services and benefit your team at the same time, please call Suzanne Johnston on (01) 491 1072 or email sjohnston@olh.ie.

Charity of the Year

Does your company nominate a Charity of the Year? We would be delighted if you would consider us this year. We will work with your charity committee to support and develop a programme of fundraising and volunteering opportunities that have impact, meaning and enhance your CSR.

We have had the opportunity to partner with many companies over the years and here are just some reasons why they chose us as their Charity of the Year:

  • ‘When our staff were deciding which charity to support this year, their overwhelming feeling was to choose Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services.  This was based on awareness of the importance of helping people face death or bereavement with care, support, dignity and comfort.  It also reflected positive personal experiences of staff members themselves of the work of the hospice movement, and of Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services in particular.  EirGrid and our staff are very pleased to support the organisation’s work”

Michael Kelly – on behalf of EirGrid Corporate Social Responsibility Committee

  • “Staff here, and myself, have at various times experienced the great joys of life but we have also witnessed a loved one, friend or colleague fighting serious illness or facing end-of-life. It’s where the paths of work and life cross. The support of Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services is invaluable at these times – that’s why we decided to make them our Charity of the Year”

 Martin Sills – Permanent TSB

Staff Fundraising

What a great way to liven up the usual 9 to 5 day! It’s great fun and we have great initiatives for you to get involved with.

Fundraising events that are led by staff members are of huge benefit to us, and also to the team of staff members involved. There are so many ways to get involved and help make a difference. You could…

  • get the gang baking and host a Coffee Morning in your office
  • sell Christmas cards or sunflowers in your office as part of Light Up a Life or Sunflower Day
  • sign up for Mini Marathon, Dublin Marathon or other challenges that are of interest to you and collect sponsorship
  • Or just let your imagination run wild and organise a totally new fundraising idea…the possibilities are endless and the benefits are immense.
Staff Volunteering

Do you or your colleagues have some time to spare? If so, we would love to hear from you!

There are plenty of opportunities and ways to get involved throughout the year. In recent years, people have helped out in so many different ways – planting flowers for Little Flower of Life, working side by side with our staff and volunteers in the preparation for Light Up a Life, being part of our crews that hit the streets and shopping centres for Sunflower Day.

So please get in touch if you think you can help out – there’s always something that needs doing! For more information, contact Suzanne Johnston on (01) 4911072 or sjohnston@olh.ie.

Local Business Champions

Our Local Business Champions generously support us throughout the year. For some they have had a first-hand experience of our services either through family members, friends or clients.

Supporting their Local Hospice is of immense importance to them. Many make a donation, some host fundraising events, and others have our coin jars on their premises.

If you are a local business and would like to make a donation to support our work, or come on board to support one of our fundraising initiatives, please contact Suzanne Johnston on (01) 4911072 or sjohnston@olh.ie.
