Certificate in Palliative Care (January)
This QQI (Level 5) accredited three-day palliative care training course in palliative care will equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to enable them to care for and address the needs of a person and their family after the diagnosis of a life-limiting illness, in a dignified, inclusive and holistic manner.
Date: Thursday January 17th, 24th and 31st 2019 (3 day course)
Program: 3 Days (9.30am - 5pm)
Venue: Education & Research Centre, Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, Dublin
Further Info: There is ample free parking at the centre and meals will be provided.
- Discuss the philosophy and principles of palliative care
- Respond appropriately to the needs of the person who is confused in the last days of life.
- Work effectively and with great sensitivity in relation to the dying person and their significant others in a palliative care setting.
- Use the range of skills required from a palliative support worker in relation to end of life care.
