Palliative Medicine Grand Rounds
Who Can Attend?
Professionals from other healthcare disciplines are welcome to attend; this does not include members of the general public.
Palliative Medicine Grand Rounds is a weekly postgraduate physician education meeting. It is held on Friday at 8am in the Lecture Theatre of the Education & Research Centre.
The meeting is coordinated by the Palliative Medicine academic department, chaired by a Palliative Medicine consultant and attended by specialist physicians from hospices and hospitals throughout Dublin. The aim is to advance knowledge and research through the presentation of up-to-date literature in Palliative Medicine and relevant aspects of General Internal Medicine. Speakers include local, national and international experts.
Grand Rounds is recognised for Continuous Professional Development (CPD) credits by the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
It is planned to video-conference the meeting to other Irish sites, both North and South.
