For many of us, Easter is a time of hope, renewal and new beginnings.
Hope can come to mean many things for our patients and their loved ones during their time with us. The hope that worries can be soothed; that loved ones will be looked after with dignity and respect; that pain and symptoms can be managed; and the hope for a better quality of life at end-of-life.
As Ireland’s largest Hospice, our hope for now and the future is that our patients will have the very best specialist palliative care, comfort and dignity, provided by our dedicated staff, in world class facilities.
With the incredible generous support of people like you we have invested over €14 million, to date, to build a new state-of-the-art Palliative Care facility in Harold’s Cross. Each patient now has a spacious, single en-suite bedroom, medically equipped and with access to a beautiful private patio and communal garden area.
It has made such a difference to the specialist palliative care we can provide for our patients and their loved ones at such a critical time in their lives.
But we urgently need to raise €600,000 to help us complete this wonderful facility and fit it out to the level our patients deserve.
Please support our Hospice Easter Appeal and transform the care we can provide for patients now and for generations to come.
Patient’s like Michael McCauley who has very kindly and generously shared his story of how our specialist palliative care gave him hope and strength.
“I certainly feel that my care gave me a new lease of life and has made me aware that I want to make the most of it.”
